Providing personalized guidance for aging healthfully

Centrum was piloting a new multivitamin and superfood greens drink mix to support healthy aging — Centrum Supergreens. A key piece of the product strategy was to offer customers personalized, holistic, nutrition-first support that would go beyond just a greens and vitamin supplement.

My role was to lead the end-to-end product design for the “digital program”, where customers would go to engage with personalized nutrition recommendations and content post-purchase.

A few months out from launch, the team learned that our original concept wasn’t feasible given new business constraints. We would need to pivot quickly. We began by reviewing our personas, discovery research, and recent data from similar product lines. I worked with the team to identify opportunities, brainstorm, ideate, and evaluate concepts.

Within a few weeks we aligned on a right-sized MVP program that would provide value to our customers, worked for our coaching staff, fit within our business constraints and could be delivered on time. We ran some quick user tests, made a few adjustments, and continued our build-out.

In February 2024 the Active Aging Plan & Consult launched on time to positive initial feedback from customers and coaches.
